Ilka van de Werve

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Econometrics and Data Science of the School of Business and Economics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Furthermore, I am a fellow at The Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement. In my research, I apply econometric techniques to study the impact of micro-social conditions and macroeconomic circumstances on criminal behaviour and education participation. Moreover, I teach and coordinate courses in the bachelor, minor and master programs of the Econometrics department.
