As a consultant in the CFO data & analytics team at EY, you play a vital role in transforming companies into intelligent organizations by unlocking the hidden value of data. This involves various aspects of data and analytics, including data engineering, dashboarding, process mining, data science, machine learning, data strategy, data governance, master data management, and data quality. You'll also delve into themes like artificial intelligence and the internet of things. As a consultant within the CFO data & analytics, you will assist clients in leveraging data to solve their most challenging and urgent problems, seize new opportunities, and create innovative products and services. Within the CFO-Consulting department, we work for the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) agenda of (international) clients in both the financial and non-financial sectors. We jointly advise CFOs and Finance Leadership Teams and support them in various issues and challenges that are important to them. We specialize in transforming the Finance function and helping CFOs redefine and transform the Finance function into a future-proof organization. This includes developing the Finance strategy, organizational design, process improvement, and deploying the latest technologies.

Responsibilities – How can you make a lasting impact in a rapidly changing world?

  • Taking charge of key topics on the CFO agenda, such as driving finance transformation, designing data strategies, designing data architectures, enhancing data management practices, modernizing and implementing enterprise applications and finance systems, optimizing and harmonizing processes, refining financial planning & analysis, automating regulatory and financial reporting, conducting data analysis, empowering data-driven decision making and providing business intelligence support.

  • Combining various skillsets, such as helping companies with analyzing processes, data flows and data architecture for optimization, designing interactive dashboards to provide valuable insights, and presenting your work during presentations to the CFO or drafting client reports. You will work across multiple projects with multi-disciplinary teams to service our global clients.

  • To perform data analyses and build dashboards, you utilize various tools such as Python, R, SQL, Spotfire, Tableau, and PowerBI.

  • Using your expertise to create, present, and communicate relevant and innovative finance solutions and best practices to clients.

  • Working both independently and in teams, either at our offices, remote, and at the clients' offices.

Job requirements – Where do you start if you want to change the world?

  • Be in the last phase of your Masters or obtained a master's degree in Finance, Economics, Econometrics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related field.

  • Demonstrate a strong interest in and knowledge of the financial services industry, including areas such as financial planning and analysis (FP&A), reporting, hedge accounting, risk management, investment banking, asset management and have a 'Finance of the Future' mindset.

  • Have a keen interest in (Intelligent) Automation, AI, RPA and knowledge of (or interest in) programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and dashboarding applications (e.g. PowerBI).

  • Be fluent in English and Dutch, both verbal and in writing.

  • Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate travel based on client and EY needs, both within local regions and internationally.

    • Salary: in addition to your fixed salary, depending on EY's financial performance, you may be eligible for a bonus. You are also entitled to an expense allowance (depending on the position) and an internet allowance of €40 net per month

Recruitment procedure – How can you prepare for a long life together?

The recruitment procedure consists of an (online) assessment and two interviews.

Due to laws and regulations, and because EY (and in some cases its clients) has high demands on the reliability and integrity of its employees, every new employee will be screened. Depending on your rank the pre-employment screening could contain the following: Certificate of Conduct (in Dutch: VOG) or - if requesting a Dutch VOG is not possible - Criminal Background Check of the country you are currently living or have lived during the last five years, integrity questionnaire, verification of ID, diploma’s and/or work experience and consultation of the Dutch insolvency registry.
