Your responsibilities

  • Provide monthly cost centre information including analysis to cost centre managers within the functional areas of Global Client Group and Chief Investment Officer;

  • Effective challenge of expenditure within the functional areas and identification of opportunities to derive cost efficiencies;

  • Contribute in the expense Budget and Forecast cycle for the Global Client Group area;

  • Contribute in the reporting of sales, losses and annualized revenue information to the Global Client Group area;

  • Contribute in consolidating the sales teams input (regarding sales, losses and annualised revenue information) into the Global Client sales plan;

  • Contribute in the reporting of annualized revenue for the Return to Growth strategies and share this data with the business case Initiative Owners;

  • Contribute in the reporting of seed capital investments to the Global Product team and Global CFO and Global CAO;

  • Prepare revenue projections for the AAM NL legal entity as part of the Budget and Forecast cycle;

  • Carry out ad hoc business project support work;

  • Document processes and review for continued suitability. Make recommendations for process improvements.

You are looking for a challenging financial business partner position within a global asset  management organization. You are an enthusiastic team player with ambition and a healthy degree of professional skepticism. You are pro-active and are looking for a position with room for taking initiative.

Besides that, you have/ are:

  • A Master’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or other relevant studies;

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience;

  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills;

  • Good analytical skills and problem solving abilities;

  • Accountability and ability to challenge in a constructive manner;

  • Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint;

  • Fluent in English both written and verbally.

Who will be your new colleagues?

The Finance function within AAM Global consists of 2 sub functions: Global Business Control and Finance & Control and involves 34 employees who are working on 4 different locations: The Hague, Groningen, Edinburgh and Cedar Rapids (US). The place of employment for this role in The Hague, Groningen or UK.

The Global Business Control function is focused on financial business partnering and providing management information (Actuals and Forecast/Budget) to the AAM’s Global business. Finance & Control consists of separate teams per AAM legal entity and are focused on the administration and reporting of AAM’s legal entities.

The Global Business Control team consists of 13 business controllers who all cover a separate function within the Global Asset Management organisation. The aim of the team is to improve business performance by providing sound financial reports, data analysis and facts to business owners on revenues, costs, profitability, sales and non-financial information. The team is also involved in business cases and product development. The team reports to the Global CFO.
